Middlesex News
Good afternoon families,
I hope you are having a good week. It’s hard to believe the last week of March is next week! Just a few reminders and upcoming events are in the notes this week.
- A friendly reminder – there is no outside food or drink allowed into the building. Students who enter with any breakfast item will be asked to finish it before heading to class.
- As the weather gets warmer, please remind your students of the DPS dress code. We would like to ensure that everyone is comfortable in school while following the guidelines.
- The music department of the Darien Public Schools is pleased to announce that the annual Darien Young Composers and Songwriters Concert will be presented live in the DHS auditorium on Wednesday, March 29th at 6:30pm. The concert is free and open to the public. We encourage you to come enjoy the creative talents of our Young Composers! If you are unable to attend, the concert will be live streamed at: https://youtube.com/live/cUg5uqq0_Qs?feature=share Check out the full list of performers! Students from all 7 schools in grades K-12 will be premiering their original compositions!
Wishing you a wonderful weekend,

Most students have yearbooks ordered for them at MMS. Last year we sold 1000 copies and still had parents requesting to buy extras. This year in an effort to save paper and prevent waste, we don't plan on ordering extras. We hate having students sad that they are missing out on the last few days of the year. Please consider ordering your student a book through the site using the school code 4238. Yearbook sales close on April 1st.
This year you have the opportunity to choose the color of your yearbook: blue or green. Please select the yearbook option of your color preference.
School Code: 4238
The all district robotics competition will be held in the MMS library on May 24, 2023. Any MMS student who has attended a robotics session during the past two years are eligible to sign up to be part of a competitive team (of their choice, or one can be assigned). On Mondays or Thursdays after school in April and May, students will write code to complete as many missions as possible using the Lego Spike Bots and Superpowered mission board. Students can sign up to participate in this by using their school login credentials to complete the form here. There is limited space available so spots will be filled on a first come first serve basis.
Date: May 24, 2023
Location: MMS Library
