Middlesex Players Theater
MMS Players Theater welcomes students to who wish to commit to mandatory rehearsals through January and all performances. The Crew works on 3-week rotations by grade level.
Middlesex Players Theater provides students with an introductory experience to the Theater Arts. Students may audition to be in the cast, where they will sing, dance and act on stage; or, they may choose to be on crew and help develop props, paint scenery and build set pieces. Our annual musical brings the MMS and Darien community together and is a much anticipated event each year!
CAST: The Middlesex Players rehearsal calendar is distributed after our audition process. The number of rehearsals each week varies depending on the role a student is assigned, but all cast members will be expected to learn music and basic choreography. Rehearsals run after school until 3:45/late busses. Attendance is mandatory EVERY DAY in January rehearsals and are subject to run until 5:00pm as we prepare for the performances.
CREW: Crew will meet 1-2 days a week from October-December after school until 3:45/late busses. Students with 2+ years experience on crew may be invited to continue into January as part of the Running Crew, who help operate spot lights, sound, and scene changes on stage. Attendance is mandatory EVERY DAY in January if you are invited to be on Running Crew.
