The Dragon

At The Dragon, our mission is to celebrate the creativity of Middlesex Middle School students. The Dragon meetings provide a friendly and supportive space where MMS writers and artists can develop their stories, poems, artwork, and more. By showcasing student work through digital and print publications, The Dragon hopes to build confidence, encourage everyone to express their unique ideas, and promote a love of literature and art. Our journal is all about practicing creativity and supporting each other’s artistic journeys!

At regular meetings, students are given time to write and create work to publish in The Dragon. Sometimes we have guided writing workshops, and sometimes we have free write time. It depends on the meeting and the needs of the students. We also typically have a student or two working on an art piece they want published on The Dragon.
