DAILY ATTENDANCE: If a student is not in class Block 1 when their teacher takes attendance, the student will be marked absent. The Connecticut attendance law allows students ten absences, excused or unexcused. Following the 10th absence, parents/guardians must provide a doctor’s note for an absence due to illness. Aspen will automatically generate an email stating that your student has exceeded the allotted number. The Administration is committed to working with all families to help ensure consistent student attendance.
TARDY PROCEDURE & ROBOCALLS:
Any student arriving after school starts must check in with the attendance secretary in the rotunda, otherwise the student may be marked absent and the legal guardian(s) will get a robocall.
EARLY DISMISSALS:
Report early dismissals through the Aspen App.
