Happy Friday, MMS Families,
Happy 100 days of school!!
This week was National School Counselors week – We are grateful for the contributions counselors make to our school and to supporting individual learner academic and personal growth!
This week I also met with Superintendent Dr. Byrne, Director of Security Leon Krolikowski, Director of Transportation Dani Powers, Director of Facilities Kevin Munrett, and representatives from the town’s police and fire departments. We shared our collective learning from last Thursday’s fire alarm at MMS during dismissal, and Director Krolikowski followed up with a new District Emergency Response Protocol for Cold/Severe Weather Evacuation. Our administrative team has reviewed our practices, and at our Tuesday Faculty Meeting, we also discussed what worked and what we would do differently in light of the new protocol. Thank you to our community for your feedback and understanding, as I know we share in our commitment to ensure a safe experience for each child every day.
