Good afternoon, MMS families,

This week at MMS our theater program announced this year’s musical: Bye Bye Birdie! This show holds a particularly special place in my heart, as it was the show I performed in during my eighth grade year and the first show I directed in my early years as a middle school teacher. Today, our sixth graders went on the first field trip of the year with a team day at Chelsea Piers!

Looking ahead, on October 8, 9, and 10, we will have our first round of Aimsweb testing during extended Flex periods. Students should bring their charged Chromebooks, as always. These assessments are diagnostic and do not count toward grades; we use this data to help inform our teaching and interventions.
