Robotics Club

MMS Robotics Club

In the Robotics Club, students learn how to write code to move robots and utilize sensors to complete missions on a First Lego League Mission Board.  Students will also have the opportunity to design and build Spike Lego robots.   Club meetings typically occur after school once a week on Mondays (sessions 1 and 3) or Thursdays (Sessions 2 or for the robotics competition at the end of March).  This after school program ends at 3:40 so those needing a ride can take the late bus home.  The club schedule is organized into 6 week sessions so students can attend for part of the school year, but are not committed for the entire year.  We meet in ROOM 112.

Session 3 if now filled up, please email Mrs. Hathaway if you want to get involved for session 4.

This after school club typically begins the week of Sept. 22, when late buses are available for students to take home.

Robotics Club Competition

The fifth annual MMS Robotics Competition will be held in the MMS library on Wednesday, April 22,  at 1:00.   Sign-ups for the Annual Robotics Competition are closed.

Students will meet after school on MONDAYS ( until 3:45) in March and April to plan missions and write code in an effort to complete as many missions as possible using a Lego Spike Bot and the CARGO CONNECT mission board.

Please email Mrs. Hathaway if you are interested in session 4 which will run in May after school on Thursdays.
